Dave Southby 5th Dan the BJA and the Eastern Area Technical Officer visit was agreat success, Dave gave the second Mat a great time with his Judo session.

At the same time Stacey Smithson the East of England Development officer visited the club

At the BJA Eastern 'February Red Belt Rumble' on Sunday 7th February 2010  2 members of the club entered.  The results were:

• Luke Brett: Gold

• Matthew Cullum:  Bronze

Rob Howes qualified for BJA Instructors award (well done Rob)

Renkeido was awarded £10.000 to support coach development and Sports Unlimited

At the Eastern Area age banded on Sunday 13th December 3 members of our club entered and attained Gold and Silver in Group 2

• Tia Bett: Silver
• Emma Larter: Gold
• Oliver Swanepoel: Gold

The area teams competition between Cambridge , Suffolk and Norfolk were also played off on the same day. Norfolk won the day with Oliver and Tia in the Norfolk team

Two of our club members were selected for the Eastern Area and went through to the Nationals at Sheffield ICE Arena.

• Tia Betts went through in third place with a fine Bronze in her trial weight group
• Oliver Swanepoel went through in first place after an excellent performance in his trial weight group.

Both performed well at the nationals and both produced personal best (Well done)
